VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Sabula.
SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Jones officiating.
SABULA — Ralph C. Giddings Jr., 87, of Sabula, died Friday at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna, Ill.
Burial will be at Sterling Cemetery, rural Sabula.
He was born Sept. 9, 1919, in rural Sabula to Ralph C. and Martha Grunnet Giddings Sr. He married Jacqueline Gruhn on Oct. 19, 1952, in Sabula.
He attended Sandridge Country School and was a 1937 graduate of Sabula High School.
He farmed all of his life near Sabula and drove a school bus for many years for the Sabula school system.
He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was secretary/treasurer of Sterling Cemetery for 50 years. He was a Mason for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jerold (Marilyn) Giddings and David (Diane) Giddings, both of Sabula; two daughters, Rachel Burken of Tulsa, Okla., and Ann Sanger of Miles; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one son-in-law.
