Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Bliedorn, with the Rev. Dan Olson officiating.

CALAMUS — Noel M. Olson, 84, of Calamus, died Thursday at Genesis Medical Center–DeWitt.

Interment will be in Our Savior Cemetery, rural Calamus.

Pallbearers will be Kurt Olson, Ron Schmitt, Bill Clark, Matt Olson, James Knoche, Tait Steines, Darla Olson, Karin Schmitt, Ange Clark, Andrea Olson, Julie Olson, Trina Knoche and Jessica Steines.

He was born to Waltin and Jennie Larson Olson in rural Calamus. He married H. Miriam Telford on Dec. 27, 1945, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt. She died in 2005.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Bliedorn. He was past district 99 Governor of the Lions Club, member of the Cattlemen’s Association, Clinton County Farm Bureau, Lincolnway Little League and was active with Clinton County 4-H.

Survivors include his children, Steve (Eunice) Olson of DeWitt, Tom (Judy) Olson of Calamus, Julie (Terry) Steines of Calamus; a special friend, Alice Schroeder of Calamus; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother- and sister-in-law, Joel and Kay Olson of Grand Mound; and sisters-in-law, Connie Drummond of Bellevue and Betty Olson of DeWitt.

Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Lions Club or 4-H.
