SERVICES: East Coast Cremation, Rock Ledge, Fla., assisted the family.

BEVERLY HILLS, Fla. — Hazel Ellen Pelton, 88, of Beverly Hills, died Thursday at her home.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

She was born July 22, 1918, to James and Eva LeHue. She married Ed Walker and later Dale Pelton in 1979.

She worked and lived many years in the Clinton and Fulton, Ill., area. She worked at The Toy Factory, Clinton Garment Factory, Collis Co. and Kline’s Shoe Repair. She managed the American Tavern and operated a restaurant in Fulton. She also sewed and made many things, which were sold in Galena, Ill., shops.

She lived at the Alverno Health Care Facility for 41/2 months before moving to Florida with her son.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol Sposky of Spring Hill, Fla., Joyce (Earl) Quick of Clinton and Vicky (Bob) Dithmart of Clinton; one son, Ed (Julie) Walker of Beverly Hills; one brother, Ben (Kathy) Samples of Fulton; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and husband.

Death date: Dec. 14, 2006
