Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today at Second Randolph Christian Reformed Church and from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the church.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Karl Bratt officiating.

RANDOLPH, Wis. — Leroy “Lee” Walter Jansma, 72, of Randolph, died Saturday at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Burial will be in Randolph Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 18, 1934, in Columbia County to Louie and Anna Tamminga Jansma. He married Nancy Balk on Jan. 1, 1957, in Fulton, Ill.

He attended Randolph Christian Grade School and Randolph High School.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He and his wife lived near Friesland where he was a dairy farmer. He also was employed with Sam’s Rotary Well Drillers and Gale Quade Construction.

He was a member of Second Randolph Christian Reformed Church where he was a deacon and elder. He also served on Randolph Christian School and Central Wisconsin Christian High School boards. He was a member of Crusaders Quartet and Friesland Community Men’s Chorus.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Victoria (Kevin) Vande Streek of Jenison, Mich., Louis (Amy) Jansma of Randolph and Valerie Vande Zande of Fox Lake, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Ellie (the Rev. Lugene) Bazuin of Crete, Ill., and Betty (Jack) Smedema of Cambria, Wis.; three brothers-in-law, Gary (Linda) Balk, Randy (Sheila) Balk and Norm (Anne) Balk, all of Fulton, Ill.; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial fund is being established in his name.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
