SERVICES: Private family services on Wednesday at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2600 Lincoln Way, with the Rev. Ron Lott officiating.
CLINTON — Edith J. Smith, 71, of Clinton, died Sunday at Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt.
Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 19, 1935, in Clinton to George and Enid Shadle Dawson Sr. She married Robert E. Smith on July 15, 1961, in Clinton.
She graduated from Clinton High School.
She was employed with DairyPak and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Debra (Virgil) Dick of Clinton and Kathryn (Terry) Sewejkis of DeWitt; one son, Kenneth (Robin) Smith of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Dorcas Killean of Clinton, Mary Jean (John) Hansen of Florida and Margery (Vincent) Carpenter of Clinton; one brother, Donald (Janice) Dawson of Clinton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
