MILAN, Ill. — Steven J. Reed, 56, of Milan and formerly of Morrison, Ill., died Thursday at Trinity West Medical Center, Rock Island, Ill.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
He was born May 11, 1950, in Morrison to John and Ruth Kuehl Reed. He married Charlene Kulivan on Oct. 28, 1990, in Piper City, Ill.
He was educated in Morrison grade schools and graduated from Morrison High School.
He served with the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971. He served in Germany and Vietnam.
He was a member of The American Legion. He was involved with the support group, Standdown for Homeless Veterans in the Quad-Cities.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Stacey Decker of Rock Falls, Ill.; three stepchildren; three stepgrandchildren; his mother, Ruth Reed of Morrison; father and stepmother, John and Beverly Reed of Rock Falls, Ill.; and two sisters, Sally (Jerry) Lindsey and Susan Bush, both of Morrison.
