SERVICES: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa.
MAQUOKETA — Caecilia S. McDermott, 91, of Maquoketa, died Friday at the Maquoketa Care Center.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Maquoketa.
She was born March 18, 1915, in Frazee, Minn., to Nicholis J. and Anna M. Mentzior Heusbourg. She married Joseph McDermott on Sept. 14, 1967, in Chicago. He died in 2002.
She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in Delmar for many years. In her earlier years, she was a secretary with Hibeard-Spencer-Bartlett Co., Evanston, Ill.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the Sacred Heart Guild, Catholic Daughters of America Ct. St. Raphael 1156, Maquoketa Womens Club and the Jackson County Regional Health Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Church, Maquoketa.
