Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today at Lahey Funeral Home, Lost Nation, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lost Nation, with the Rev. William C. Kneemiller officiating.

LOST NATION — Charles Kinney, 64, of Lost Nation, died Saturday at his home.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lost Nation, at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Easton, T.J. Bertling, Ron Goldensoph, Ted Pestka, Richie McCall, Joe Kilburg, Guy Stoddard, Ben Traver, Todd James, Roger McNeil and Kenny Lacey.

He was born Nov. 30, 1941, north of Calamus to Edward and Agnes Grubich Kinney. He married Maureen McCauilffe on April 28, 1961. He then married Jane Caes on June 21, 1986, in Lost Nation.

He attended rural Clinton County schools.

He was a contractor with local telephone companies.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lost Nation. He was a foster parent.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Kinney of Lost Nation; five children, Kevin (Janet) Kinney of Cincinnati, Michelle Kinney of Independence, Joelle (Guy) Stoddard of Erie, Ill., Charleen (Joe) Kilburg of LaMotte and Robbi Haase of St. Paul, Minn.; two stepdaughters, Kimberley (Todd) James of Pecatonica, Ill., and Stacy (Ben) Traver of Lowden; 11 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his mother, Agnes Kinney of DeWitt; three sisters, Barb (Chuck) Easton of Davenport, Loreen (Ted) Pestka and Janet (Ron) Goldensoph, both of DeWitt; and one brother, Steven (Cindy) Kinney of Kenney, Ill.
