HANOVER, Ill. — Margaret McKinley, 90, of Hanover, died Tuesday at the Elizabeth (Ill.) Nursing Home.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover.
She was born Sept. 4, 1916, in Hillsdale, N.D., to Parke and Loretta Ravenscraft Miller.
She graduated from Hanover High School.
She married Joseph C. McKinley on Sept. 8, 1934. He died in 2000.
She worked with Dr. Miller at his dentist office in Hanover. She was later employed with the Savanna Army Depot for 20 years before retiring.
She was a longtime member of Hanover United Methodist Church and served as church organist for more than 50 years. She also was active in several committees including United Methodist Women, choir, Sunday school and Vacation Bible School.
Survivors include one son, John (Nancy) McKinley of Hanover; two daughters, Carolyn (Alex) Paisley of Dixon, Ill., and Kathleen (Kenneth) Sommerville of Algonquin, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Virginia Stoner of California and Betty Gillaspie of Texas; one brother, Jerry (Beth) Miller of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
