Charles “Chuck” Prizler

SERVICES: Held at a later date in Mosier. Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

CAMANCHE — Charles “Chuck” Prizler, 75, of Camanche and formerly of Mosier, Ore., died Tuesday at his son’s home.

He was born Feb. 13, 1931, in St. Louis, Mo., to Charles and Vivian Prizler. He married Marge Archibald in July of 1971. She died in 2004.

He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Air Force.

He was employed for more than 30 years with Montgomery Elevators as a technician in Dallas, the Quad-Cities and Portland, Ore., before retiring in 1982. He also was a carpenter, inventor, songwriter and author.

Survivors include three sons, Charles (Sara) Prizler of Davenport, Jeff (Sue) Prizler of Camanche and John (Rosalyn) Prizler of Santa Barbara, Calif.; four stepchildren, Tim (Connie) Scott of Davenport, Peggy (Kenny) Wilson of Portland, Todd (Kelly) Scott of Hickeyville and Theresa Scott of Lebanon, Ore.; one sister, Ida Conklin of West Liberty; one half brother, Henry Cummings of Michigan; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the family.
