Visitation: 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Holmer officiating.

FULTON, Ill. — Henry T. Berg, 84, of Fulton, died Monday at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery with military honors conducted by Clinton AMVETS Post 28.

Pallbearers will be Norm Grieser, Rick Norman, Dave Kallenbach, Ron Schofield, Jim Fish and Dick Bax.

He was born Nov. 9, 1922, in Chicago to Henning and Selma Wattman. He married Betty Neumann-Marx on July 23, 1976, in Clinton.

He graduated from Calumet High School in Chicago and attended Albert Lane Tech School.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy.

He was employed as a tool and die maker with Albert Lane Tech School and was a photographer in Chicago. He later was employed with Commonwealth Edison for 40 years before retiring in May of 1989 as a fuel handler foreman.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clinton. He volunteered at Harding Elementary School in Clinton and was a member of Chicago American Legion Post 0118.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Lillian Berg of Chicago, Kimberly (Robert) Rentz of Clinton and Pamela (Randy) May of Fulton; three sons, George Berg of Sarasota, Fla., Paul Berg of Joliet, Ill., and Chris Berg of Oak Lawn, Ill.; four grandchildren; one brother, Clifford (Darlene) Berg of Los Angeles; and two nephews.

Memorials be made to Harbor Crest Nursing Home or Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
