Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove, where a prayer service will be offered at 7 p.m. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
SERVICES: 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
DONAHUE — Mary Theresa Cronkleton, 77, of Donahue, died Monday at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus.
Burial will be in St. Ann’s Catholic Church Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 28, 1929, to Joseph and Mary Philomena Noel Hines. After her father died, she was raised by Howard Gluesing. She married Howard A. Cronkleton on Aug. 17, 1950, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, DeWitt. He died in 2000.
She taught in the rural Scott County School District for two years and then worked as a postal clerk before retiring as postmaster in Donahue.
She was an active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Teresa (Tom) Simmons of Davenport, Dr. Michael (Bernadette) Cronkleton of Bettendorf, Mary Kay (Mike) Pence of Eldridge, Michele (Doug) Olson of Maysville, Clare (Tom) Whyte of Seattle, Drs. Peter (Martha) Cronkleton of Santa Cruz, Bolivia; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Robert (Janice) Hines of Camanche, Tom (Winnie) Hines of Grand Mound, Inez (Matt) Tobin and Janet (Bob) Burmeister, both of Long Grove, John Gluesing of Goose Lake, Paul (Sally) Gluesing of Eldridge, Judy (Gary) Kroeger of Eldridge; one brother-in-law, John Verhulst of Sterling, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Ann’s Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, three sisters and two grandchildren.
