CAMANCHE — Sarah Jane “Sally” Brown, 73, of Camanche, died Sunday at her home.
She was born April 16, 1933, in Rochester, Minn., to Jesse and Harriet Johnson Hansen. She married Keith E. Brown on June 26, 1954, in Olin.
She was educated in the Olin schools.
She was employed with 3M, Cordova, Ill., for 23 years before retiring in 1994.
She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, Republican Women, American Legion Auxiliary and was past president of the Legion Auxiliary. She also was a member and founder of the Camanche Red Hat Society.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dennis (Mary) Brown of Tipton and Kim Brown of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren; and two brothers, James (Doris) Hansen of Dubuque and Donald “Pete” (Alfreida) Hansen of Cedar Rapids.
Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
