Gaynell Guenther

Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, and from 9:30 a.m. until the service time Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bellevue.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

BELLEVUE — Gaynell Guenther, 71, of Bellevue, died Wednesday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Bellevue.

She was born Jan. 30, 1935, in Green Island to Delbert and Nettie Keil Roe. She married Russell Guenther on June 13, 1952, in National City, Calif. He died in August.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Dan) Kucera of Bellevue and Marcia (Leon) Stillmunkes of Springbrook; one son, Mark (Sara) Guenther of Bellevue; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Fern Hoff of Janesville, Wis., Marilyn (William) Pataska, Doris Klemme and Judy (Robert) Yeager, all of Bellevue; sisters-in-law, Fern Roe and Gloria (Robert) Medinger, both of Bellevue; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Mary) Guenther of Marion and Terry Brooks of Camanche; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one great-grandchild, two brothers and one sister.
