Marie Bielema

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. E.C. Lathrop, associate pastor of First Reformed Church, Fulton, officiating.

FULTON, Ill. — Marie Bielema, 94, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, died Wednesday at the nursing home.

Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 9, 1912, in Newton Township, Ill., to John and Winnie Klimstra Heun.

She was educated in the rural Whiteside County, Ill., schools.

She married Menno Bos on March 9, 1933, in Garden Plain, Ill. He died in 1946. She then married Ralph “Yank” Bielema on Jan. 15, 1952, in Fulton. He died in 1973.

She was a homemaker. She also did cleaning for local churches and private homes.

She was a member of First Reformed Church, Fulton, where she was involved in the Women’s Missionary Society.

Survivors include two daughters, Winnie (Gary) Larson of Alexandria, Va., and Carol (Eric) Janvrin of Morrison, Ill.; one son, Larry E. Bos of LeClaire; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Reformed Church Youth Ministries.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, two sisters, three half sisters, four brothers and one half brother.
