Leo M. Salutz funeral Saturday

Leo M. Salutz, 71, of 651 7th Ave. S., Clinton, died Thursday at The Alverno.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Doyle officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home, where a 7:30 p.m. rosary will be recited. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Determan, Gordon Cowan, Woodrow Wilson, Lewis Brown, Harold Petersen, and John Leonard.

Mr. Salutz was born Aug. 30, 1918, in Reedsburg, Wis., to Leo and Ella Tessmer Salutz. He married Marie Frett April 5th, 1945, in Clinton. He was a 1936 graduate of Clinton High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army Air Force from 1942 to 1945.

Mr. Salutz was employed for DuPont Company for 36 years, where he was a supervisor in the casting department. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James of Rochester, Minn.; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Mary Beth) Wejman of Glenview, Ill., Jean Salutz of DesPlaines, Ill., Margaret Salutz of Minneapolis, Minn., Marian Salutz of Phoenix, Ariz., and Janice Salutz of Overland Park, Kan.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Wilfred (Anne) Schuh, Mrs. Robert (Veronica) Johnson, and Mrs. James (Carmel Mary) Vreeke, all of Manitonic, Wis., four brothers, Florian of New Breman, Ohio, Lawrence of Manitonic, Wis., William of Green Bay, Wis., and Robert of Merrill, Wis.; and serveral nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
