Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today at Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Stralow, pastor of Forreston (Ill.) Reformed Church.
MORRISON, Ill. — Stella G. Buikema, 91, of Morrison, died Sunday at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Morrison.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.
Pallbearers will be Allen Buikema, Lynn Patten, Dale and Larry Richmond, Arlyn Tichler and Rodney Van Zuiden.
She was born Nov. 8, 1915, in Morrison to Rank R. and Minnie Fossen Buikema.
She was educated in rural Whiteside County schools.
She was employed with Volckmann’s Furniture Factory, Morrison. She then did private duty childcare. She was later employed as a dietary aide at Morrison Community Hospital and then returned to private duty childcare.
She was a lifetime member of Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Janet Tichler of Morrison and Mrs. Ella Mae Pruis of Sterling, Ill.; and one brother, Renzie Buikema of Morrison.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant View Nursing Home or Ebenezer Reformed Church, both in Morrison.
