Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hanover United Methodist Church.

HANOVER, Ill. — Dale William Service, 76, of Hanover, died Thursday at the Galena Stauss Nursing Home, Galena, Ill.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover.

He was born April 30, 1930, in Spaulding, Ill., to James and Nancy America Haile Service. He married Margaret Wild on April 29, 1973, in Galena.

He worked as a manufacturing engineer for Eaton Corporation in Carol Stream, Ill., and in Hanover.

He was a member of the Hanover United Methodist Church and the Eaton Management Club.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Dale Glen Service of Levittown, Pa., Dallas Ray (Jaul) Service of Carbondale, Ill., Douglas Lavern (Pam) Service of Fairfield, Ill., and Donald Lee Service of Springerton, Ill.; four daughters, Christine Ruth Skiwrka of Aurora, Ill., Carla Deanne (Randy) Birtles of Grand Rapids, Mich., Cheryl Kay Service of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Kathleen Margaret (Tony) Benavides of Clinton; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Chester (Mildred) Service of Dover, Ark., and David (Kathleen) Service of McHenry, Ill.; and one sister, Betty (James) Bumgarner of Groveland, Fla.

Memorials may be made in his name.
