Maquoketa: Herman Henningsen, 74, of rural Maquoketa, died Friday [20 Oct 1967]in Jackson county public hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in First Lutheran curch in Maquoketa, Rev. Harold Kumpf officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. today in the Haylock-O'Hara funeal home. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Monday.

Mr. Henningsen was born Nov. 20, 1892, in Clinton, son of Herman and Mary Hansen Henningsen. He married Alma Yohum in Clinton, Jan. 14, 1915. He was a retired farmer, a Lutheran and member of the Knights of Pythias.

Mr. Henningsen is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Eilene) Smith of clinton; a son, Donald Henningsen of Maquoketa; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Pfoltner of Kansas City, Mo.; Miss Mary Henningsen, Miss Ida Henningsen and Mrs. Hannah McCann of Cedar Rapids, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and three brothers.
