The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday [6 Nov 1990] in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home for Art A. Henningsen, 91, of 250 S. 14th St., who died Sunday at Clinton Retirement Village.

Dr. F. E. Schoenbohm, Lutheran pastor emeritus, will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Werner Wilke, Michael Clemens, Gerhardt Jenken, Dallas Schumacher, Frank Franzen and Lester Underwood.

Mr. Henningsen was born March 28, 1899, in Clinton, to Martin and Emma Domann Henningsen. He married Vivian Nelson. He later married Mary McGowan on May 21, 1948. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1918, and University of Iowa in 1923. He was manager of a loan company for more than 17 years in Chicago. He returned to Clinton in 1941 and worked in real estate, insurance and home building, retiring in 1985. He was a charter member of the Izaak Walton League, Rotary Club, Gyro and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, a sister Mrs. Erna Cutler of Camanche; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sons.
