SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Onslow, with the Rev. David McIntosh officiating.
ONSLOW — Freda B. Welch, 93, of Onslow, died Saturday at Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa.
Burial will be in Clay Cemetery, Onslow.
She was born March 7, 1913, in Monmouth, Iowa, to James F. and Maggie McCarty Bickford. She married Clyde Orville Welch on Feb. 10, 1930, in Anadarko, Okla. He died in 1998.
She attended country schools in Onslow and Binger, Okla.
She was a homemaker and in early years worked at the Maquoketa Hospital in food service. She also owned and operated C&F Cafe, Onslow, for many years.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Onslow.
Survivors include one son, Arvin (JoAnn) Welch of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
