Wilfred “Bud” Johnson

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2600 Lincoln Way.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Glew officiating.

CLINTON — Wilfred “Bud” Johnson, 75, of Clinton, died Sunday at Mercy North Hospital.

He was born March 24, 1931, to William and Martha Dixon Johnson in Miles. He married Lola Witt on Aug. 19, 1960, in Clinton.

He attended high school in Miles.

He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Leyte CV-32 from 1951 to 1955 and the National Guard Reserves from 1955-1959.

He was employed with Clinton Corn as a laborer and also at Camanche High School.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Carolyn Trude of Clinton, Patricia (Jeff) Devers of Camanche and Cindy Johnson of Clinton; three sons, Richard (Rosie) Wentworth of Camanche, Rodney (Margaret) Wentworth of Camanche and Bob (Cheryle) Johnson of Clinton; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Vivian “Sis” Dressen of Welaka, Fla.; and one brother, Wes Johnson of Mitchell, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
