SERVICES: Were 2 p.m. Oct. 14 at Perkins Funeral Chapel, Harlowton.

BILLINGS, Mont. — Kenneth M. Knudson, 89, of Billings, formerly of Harlowton, Mont., and Clinton, died Oct. 7.

Burial was in Harlowton Cemetery.

He was born in Shawmut, Mont., on Nov. 17, 1916, to Maurice and Ruby Green Knudson. He married Dortha Bacon on June 2, 1950.

He attended school in Vananda and Forsyth, Mont., before moving to Clinton with his family.

He was a World War II veteran and served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Nehenta Bay in the South Pacific.

After the war, he returned to Montana and lived in Harlowton.

He worked with Holmes Chevron for 20 years and with the Milwaukee Railroad before retiring in 1980. After retirement, he worked with Budge Honey and later delivered fuel with Leary’s Exxon.

He was a member of Harlowton Volunteer Fire Department and the VFW.

Survivors include three sons, Gary of Spokane, Wash., Jim (Jan) of Billings and Rich (Sue) of Harlowton; 10 grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Alice Knudson of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, two sisters and three brothers.

Death date: Oct. 7, 2006
