OKLAHOMA CITY — Jean M. Sherwood, 78, of Oklahoma City and formerly of Clinton, died Sept. 28 at the home of her son, Brian Sherwood.
She was born March 28, 1928, in Chicago to Joseph and Marie Urbank. She married Lloyd D. Sherwood on Oct. 28, 1950, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clinton. He died in 1990.
She graduated from Our Lady of Angels Academy, Clinton.
She was an active member of St. Patrick’s Parish.
She retired from the Clinton County Veterans Affairs Office where she was employed for several years.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Petersen of Edmond, Okla; sons, Michael Sherwood of Clinton, John (Mariann) Sherwood of Moore, Okla.; and Brian (Lu) Sherwood of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one stepsister, Marjori (Warren) Thornley of Fox Lake, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one grandchild.
