THOMSON, Ill. — William J. Andresen, 78, of Thomson and formerly of Dubuque, died Wednesday at Manor Care Health Services, Dubuque.
He was born July 9, 1928, in Dubuque to Wilfred and Geraldine Ott Andresen. He married Gloria Sherman on March 17, 1949, in Dubuque. She died in 1981.
He owned and operated Krazy Acres Fun Land, Thomson, for 35 years.
Survivors include one son, William (fiancee, Vernelle) Andresen Jr. of Lakeland, Fla.; five daughters, Linda Moore and Jody, both of Savanna, Ill., and Deborah, Judy and Jennifer, all of Dubuque; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five brothers, Jim of Nevada, Dick, Paul and John, all of Dubuque, and Tom of Tucson, Ariz.; and two sisters, Margaret (Paul) Dodds and Mary Mulgrew, both of Dubuque.
A William J. Andresen Memorial Fund has been established.
