SERVICES: Private.

MAQUOKETA — Edward Alan Hudrlik, 74, of Maquoketa, died Tuesday at Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Burial will be in Bridgeport Cemetery, rural Maquoketa. Cremation rites have been accorded.

He was born Jan. 16, 1932, in Oxford Junction to Ed and Dorathy Schrader Hudrlik. He married Rae Ona Batey on March 3, 1951, in South Carolina.

He was a 1950 graduate of Oxford Junction High School.

He farmed and worked with Clinton Engines in Maquoketa for several years. He then worked with Hudrlik’s Construction Co., working on projects such as Briggs Elementary School. He then became the maintenance supervisor with River Village Apartments, Maquoketa, before retiring in 1997.

He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Andrew. He played in the family band, Ed and The Roadrunners.

Survivors include his wife; children, Rue Lain (Ron) Storlie of Davenport, Kevin Hudrlik of Maquoketa, Stevin (Mary Lou) Hudrlik of Andrew and Deona (Tom) Casel and Marty (Mary Carole) Hudrlik, all of Maquoketa; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
