Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2600 Lincoln Way.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

CLINTON — Karen Jean Ellis, 61, of Clinton, died Monday at Trinity Regional Health System, Bettendorf.

Pallbearers will be Mike and Chad Fawcett, Roger Becker, Mark Rickertsen, Steve Nielsen and Ryan Norris.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 14, 1944, to Ernest and Della Cole Siem in Davenport. She married James Ellis on June 29, 1963, in Princeton, Iowa.

She graduated from North Scott High School in 1963.

She was employed as a bookkeeper and cashier with Randall’s for 16 years. She then worked as a bank teller with Great River Bank and Trust for almost 21 years.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Terri (Kevin) Raymond of DeWitt and Sara Ellis of Camanche; one son, Greg (Tracy) Ellis of Clinton; five grandchildren; her mother, Della Siem of Folletts; three sisters, Linda (James) Fawcett of Folletts, Patricia (LeRoy) Mensinger of Camanche and Sue (Phil) Rickertsen of Camanche; father-in-law, Charles Ellis of Bettendorf; sister-in-law, Linda (Frank) Reese of Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or Princeton Fire Department.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law.

Death date: Oct. 16, 2006
