Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Christ Episcopal North Church with the Rev. Sue Eades officiating.

CLINTON — Tex M. Healless, 79, of Clinton, died Monday at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Leonard, Leroy Buntemeyer, Bill Rathje, Bob Hammer, Bob Leedham and Arnold Matje.

He was born Sept. 21, 1927, in Clinton to Merrill and Helen Bertelsen Healless. He married Miriam Milder on Oct. 21, 1950, in Clinton.

He graduated from Lyons High School in 1946.

He served with the U.S. Marines where he served during the Korean War.

He worked with E.I. DuPont as a slitting machine operator for more than 40 years.

He was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church, Clinton American Legion and delivered Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Kathleen Healless and Sharon Enwright both of Clinton and Mrs. Mary (Darwin) Andresen of Dewitt; two sons, Michael Healless of Bettendorf and Ted Healess of DeWitt; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Shirley Hoover and Alice Koenes, both of Clinton; and one brother-in-law, Howard Vogel of Clinton.

Memorials may be given to Christ Episcopal Church.
