WYOMING, Iowa — Louis A. Wright, 86, of Wyoming, died Monday at the Anamosa Care Center.
Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming.
He was born March 5, 1920, in rural Linn County, near Toddville, to Willard Lewis and Sarah Elnora Morris Wright.
He attended rural country school in Linn and Jones counties.
After graduating from eighth grade, he started farming. He raised hogs and Black Angus calves. In 1960, when his father retired, he partnered with his sister, Gladys, and farmed until he retired in 1982.
He was a member of Wyoming United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Denison of Lisbon and Gladys Wright of Wyoming; two brothers, Raymond Wright of Hiawatha and Donald (Shirley) Wright of Wyoming; and nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Wyoming United Methodist Church or the Anamosa Care Center.
