SERVICES: 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Don Plamondon officiating. Law-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
MILES — Genevieve M. “Sally” Kuhl, 89, of Miles, died Saturday at Mercy North Hospital.
Burial will be in Miles Cemetery.
She was born July 15, 1917, in Sprague, Wis., to Harold G. and Kathryn G. Nichols Yates. She married Raymond A. Kuhl on Sept. 23, 1939, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Preston.
She graduated from Miles High School in 1935. She also attended Paris Beauty Academy, Cedar Rapids.
She operated Sally’s Beauty Shop for more than 60 years.
She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Preston. She was involved in the Miles Literary Club, American Legion Auxiliary and the Past President’s Club in Miles.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Philip (Barbara) Kuhl of Morton, Ill.; six daughters, Kathleen (Mike) Shannon of Clinton, Mary (Lou) Tietjens of Claremont, Fla., Julie (Dennis) Streets of Maquoketa, Janice Kuhl of Ankeny, Diane Kuhl of Fort Collins, Colo., and Patrice (Marc) Ramsey of Lakeside, Texas; one sister, Shirley (Wayne) Daniels of Miles; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A general memorial fund has been established in her name.
