Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Monday at the New Hope Assembly of God Church in Savanna, with the Rev. Gary Abney officiating.

SAVANNA, Ill. — Larry L. Franks, 64, of Birchwood, Wis., died Tuesday at the Golden Age Manor in Amery, Wis.

Burial will be in Daggert Cemetery in Mount Carroll, Ill.

He was born March 5, 1942, in Geneseo, Ill., to Darrell and Ardith Doll Franks. He married Deborah Dauphin on May 13, 1977, in Erie, Ill.

He graduated from Erie High School in 1960. He was a police officer in Erie, managed a Country Club in Erie, was the road commissioner in Erie and also was a salesman for Heckman Bindary.

The couple moved to the Barron County area in 1978, where Larry worked for Williams Auction Service in Rice Lake, Wis. He was on the Cedar Lake Town Board as a supervisor and chairman. He also was treasurer for the Rice Lake Music Parents for 11 years.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Joette (Scott) Friess of Cumberland, Wis., Trina Franks of Hudson, Wis., and Traci Schatz of Moline, Ill.; three grandchildren; two brothers, David Franks of Erie and Bruce Franks of Prophetstown, Ill.; five sisters, Darrelyn Mortenson and Karen Jepson both of Erie, Debra Geerts of Fulton, Ill., Lori Dornbush of Erie and Candice Milem of Cordova, Ill.; and a cousin.
