CLINTON — Mary M. Pell, 73, of Clinton, died Thursday at Mercy North Hospital.
Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 2, 1932, in Des Moines, to Alfred and Gertrude Duesing Schaffer. She married Robert K. Pell Sr. on Sept. 5, 1953, in Inuka, Miss.
She was a 1950 graduate of Clinton High School.
She was in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1953.
She worked in security for Archer Daniels Midland.
She was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church and Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, of Clinton; one daughter, Vicki (Robert) Boldgett, of Newton; one son, Ltc. Robert K. Pell Jr., of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Grace Varnham, of Ankeny; one brother, Ernie Schaffer, of Clinton; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two sisters and two brothers.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
