FULTON, Ill. — Georgia V. Norem, 83, of Fulton, died Thursday at Bluff Terrace Nursing Facility, Clinton.
The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion.
She was born Nov. 28, 1922, in Belmond to Christopher and Geska Miendus Groen. She married Durward A. Norem on June 23, 1946, in Clarion. He died May 20, 1989.
She was educated in Belmond grade schools.
She and her late husband owned and operated the former Norem Salvage business in Camanche and later in Fulton.
She was a member of Fulton Presbyterian Church, Fulton. She was a volunteer at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, helping with bingo.
Survivors include a daughter, Ginny (Bob) Doescher of Morrison, Ill.; two sons, Larry (Lawana) Norem of Fulton and Durward C. (Marilyn) Norem of Clinton; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and a brother.
Memorials have been established by the family.
