Michael H. Parker

Michael H. Parker, age 53, of Clinton, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 6th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Joey Rosenboom, Colt Rosenboom, Kenny Stage, Jimmy Frederick, Ed Rowan, Johnathan Mitchell and Greg Duncan. Honorary casket bearers will be Larry Ramig, Daniel Jones, Hunter Kenworthy, Brian Pohl, Ryan Grams, Russ Houser, Mark Frederick, Joshua Jones, Michael Drevyanko, Marshal Stage and Sean O’Neal. Following the graveside services a luncheon will be held at the Bemis (DuPont) Pavillion.

Michael was born on November 21, 1952 in Clinton the son of Alfred (Bud) and Marie Kinkaid Parker. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1971. Mike married Sherry L. Frederick on March 31, 1973 in Clinton. Mike was employed with Clinton Corn Processing Company and A.D.M. for 35 years. Mike was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and I-Club member. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mike is survived by his wife Sherry, a daughter, Heather Kenworthy of Clinton, two grandsons, Johnathan Mitchell and Hunter Kenworthy both of Clinton, a sister Kathy Rosenboom and her fiancée, Sean O’Neal both of Pekin, IL, his parents, Bud Parker and Marie Parker both of Clinton and Pat Hudson of Clinton. Mike was preceded is death by his grandparents, Tom Hudson, and a son-in-law, Robbie Kenworthy. Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
