Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dick Adams, pastor of First Baptist Church in Morrison, officiating.

MORRISON, Ill. — Nellie C. Eads, 81, of Morrison, died Tuesday at her home.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

She was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Vilna, Alberta, Canada, to Henry A. and Ellen Parsons Lindstrom. She married Victor M. Eads on May 9, 1947, in Morrison. He died in 1996.

She was employed with Volckmans Furniture Factory and Ice Cooling Factory, both in Morrison. She also was employed with General Electric, Morrison, for 18 years before retiring in 1986.

She resided in Cambridge and Woodhull, Ill., and Sioux City before moving to Morrison.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Morrison, and the church’s Mary and Martha Circle. She served as president of the American Baptist Women’s Circle and was a member of Church Women United.

Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Jim) Carroll and Ellen Turner, both of Morrison; three sons, Larry (Mary) Eads and Robert (Eileen) Cook, both of Morrison and Richard (Mary) Lindstrom of Thomson, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Reba Lindstrom of Morrison.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one great-grandchild and one brother.
