Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home.
SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Holmer officiating.
CLINTON — Maynard V. Olson, 94, of Clinton, died Sunday at his home.
Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 25, 1912, in Newhall to Charles and Laura Markham Olson. He married Aletta McClelland on Dec. 5, 1958, in Kahoka, Mo.
He was a 1931 graduate of Norway High School.
He was employed in the refinery at Clinton Corn for 14 years before retiring in 1975.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clinton.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Charla (John) Sietz of Litchfield Park, Ariz., Gloria (Dan) Eskew of Clinton and Mitzi (Randy Richter) Sanders of Clinton; one son, Mike Pope of Clinton; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat grandchildren; three sisters-in-laws, Francis (Eugene) Miller of Clinton, Juanita (Richard) DeLoe of Camanche and Edna McClelland of Clinton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family requests that memorials be made to the family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
