SAVANNA, Ill. — Elizabeth Mae “Betty” Brinkmeier, 71, of Savanna, died Saturday at her home.
Inurnment will be in Lost Mound Cemetery at a later date.
She was born Aug. 9, 1935, to William and Bernice Bailey Bousman in Savanna.
She attended Savanna schools.
She married Dale E. Brinkmeier on Aug. 8, 1951, in Mount Carroll, Ill.
She worked in Savanna doing factory work, tending bar and cooking for several establishments.
She was a lifetime member of Savanna VFW Post 2223 and Savanna Moose Lodge 1095.
Survivors include one daughter, Dalene K. (Gerald) Skimhorn of Savanna; three sons, Ralph W. Brinkmeier and Dale W. “PeeWee” Brinkmeier, both of Savanna, and Todd E. Brinkmeier of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Charlene O’Neil of Savanna.
In lieu of flowers, a general memorial fund has been established in her name.
