Visitation: 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home, Wheatland.
SERVICES: 2 p.m. Sept. 30 at the funeral home. The Rev. Bob Williams will be officiating.
MAQUOKETA — Blanche Schnede, 92, of Maquoketa, died Saturday at Clover Ridge Place, Maquoketa.
Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Wheatland.
She was born Feb. 4,1914, in rural Lowden to Emer Mowry and Olga Klahn. She married Lloyd Schnede on Oct. 21, 1937, in Davenport. He died in 2000.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Wheatland, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy (Blaine) Evans of Coalmont Colo.; one son-in-law, Richard Mommsen of Clinton; one sister-in-law, June Mowry of Lowden; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clover Ridge Place, Maquoketa, or St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Wheatland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, four brothers and three sisters.
