Katie Zuidema

Visitation: 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison, preceded by a 10:15 a.m. family prayer service at the church. The Rev. Jon W. Nienhuis, pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church, will be officiating.

MORRISON, Ill. — Katie M. Zuidema, 17, of Morrison, died Wednesday in rural Morrison.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

She was born May 16, 1989, in Clinton to Mike and Dawn Zuidema Zuidema.

She was educated in Morrison schools. She was a senior at Morrison High School.

She worked part time at the Isle of Rhodes Restaurant, Morrison.

She was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison. She was a member of the Whiteside County 4-H and volunteered for many functions within 4-H. She was a counselor and staff member at Camp White Eagle, Leaf River, Ill.

Survivors include her parents, Mike and Dawn Zuidema of Morrison; two sisters, Tessa (Matthew Jones) Zuidema of Holmdel, N.J., and Jessie Zuidema of Morrison; grandparents, Donald and Irene Dyke and Agnes Zuidema, all of Morrison; one nephew; and several aunts and uncles.

Memorials may be made to the Katie Zuidema Memorial Scholarship Fund.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers.
