SERVICES: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Community United Church of Christ, Savanna. The Rev. Robert Hamilton will officiate.
VISITATION: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
SAVANNA, Ill. — Gladys Mae Voss, 96, of Savanna, died Thursday at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna.
Burial will be in Savanna Township Cemetery, Savanna.
She was born Oct. 18, 1909, in Savanna Township, to Frank E. and Lydia Mae Leavens Brown. She married Herbert Almquist in 1927. He died in 1950. She married Earl Voss in 1954. He died in 1991.
She attended the Timbuktu Country School and graduated from Savanna High School.
She was employed as a bookkeeper with Savanna Hospital, the Carroll County Courthouse and Eaton Corporation.
She was a member of the Community United Church of Christ, the Lend a Hand Unit at the Community United Church of Christ, Eastern Star, Wa-tan-ye Club and Women of the Moose.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lydia (Tom) Root of Savanna; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a brother Kyle (Ruth) Brown of Savanna.
Memorials can be made to the Community United Church of Christ Organ Fund.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, one son, three brothers, a sister and a stepdaughter.
