Harold Russell Etnyre, 85, devoted, loving, Christian husband, Daddy, Grandpa, Great-Grandpapa, and brother is with Jesus in his heavenly home.
Harold passed away September 4, 2006 with his daughter by his side from congestive heart failure.
Harold was born to Oliver and Esther Slifer Etnyre, April 28, 1921, in Chadwick, IL., where be grew up and graduated from Chadwick High School in 1939, vice-president of his class. On May 2, 1943, he married Esther Hazel Buelow. Before retirement Harold was a tool sales service manager for Collis and Chamberlain Corporation. Harold served as a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent and building fund treasurer for 15 years at Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton, IA. Harold and Esther moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in 2004, welcomed by their family and new dear friends at Grand Villa. Harold was devoted to God and family.
Survivors include his daughter, Vicki Grabow and her husband Chad, Grandson Dallas Grabow, his wife Lisa and their son Chad all of Grand Junction; Granddaughter Miriah Menozzi, her husband Michael and their daughters Amelia, Ryan and Talor of Colorado Springs, CO.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, 1 sister and his parents.
Private viewing and services will be held at the Lutheran Church and School of Messiah with Reverend Gary L. Buss officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Grand Junction, CO.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 656 5th Ave. South, Clinton 1A 52732 or Hospice Palliative Care of Western Colorado, PO. Box 60307, Grand Junction, CO 81506. Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin Mortuary.
Harold will dwell in His house forever.
