Carl F. Marquardt

Carl F. Marquardt, 82, of Oak Creek, WI, died Friday, September 1, 2006, in Milwaukee. Visitation is Thursday, September 7, 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Molthen-Bell & Sons Funeral Home, South Milwaukee, WI. Internment Friday, September 8, 10:00 AM at Forest Hill Memorial Park, Oak Creek, WI.

He was born November 23, 1923, in Sussex, WI to Carl W. and Grace (Ullstrup) Marquardt. He married LaVada Roberts November 8, 1944 in Texas. She died March 29, 1979.

Carl was a WWII veteran serving in the Pacific Theater with the Army Air Corp. He also served in the Air National Guard.

Carl worked for the Louis Allis Co. for 46 years and was an active member of Local 1131 IUE serving as shop steward.

He was an avid fisherman, which he enjoyed sharing with many family members. Carl also played the accordion for 20 years with a group called The Pink Canaries.

Survivors include children Carl D. (Alicia) Marquardt of Oak Creek, WI, Robert Marquardt of New Berlin, WI, Larry (Sheryl) Marquardt of Clinton, IA, Ted (Diane) Marquardt, Milwaukee, WI, Gayla (Richard) Hagan of Wauwatosa, WI and Scott (Jill) Marquardt of South Bend, IN, 14 grandchildren including Coy (Kirsten) Marquardt, Cedar Rapids, IA, and Carly (Tony) Vath of Clinton, IA, and one Great-granddaughter, Sophie Vath.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother.
