Lois M. Burke

Visitation: 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Miles United Presbyterian Church.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. William Warhover officiating.

CLINTON — Lois M. Burke, 82, of rural Clinton, died Thursday at her home.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

She was born June 22, 1924, in Sterling, Iowa, to Ray and Florene Wilson Corlis. She married Charles Burke on Feb. 20, 1944, at Miles United Methodist Church.

She graduated from Miles High School.

She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in rural Clinton for more than 50 years.

She was a longtime member of Miles United Presbyterian Church. She served as an elder on the church board and taught Sunday school.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Alan (Becky) Burke of Fort Collins, Colo.; one daughter, Gail (Charles) Levsen of Clinton; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Miles United Presbyterian Church in her name.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
