Luetta Piek

Luetta Piek, age 102, formerly of Waukesha and Jefferson, WI, died Wednesday August 23, 2006 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards, WI.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI . Rev. Timothy Wenger will officiate. Burial will be 1 PM. Monday, at Clinton Lawn Cemetery in Clinton, Iowa.

Mrs. Piek was born October 12, 1903 in Lowden, Iowa, to William and Annie (Mosek) Kreinbring. She was a homemaker and was also employed as a nurse’s aid at Schick Veteran’s Hospital in Clinton, IA. She was a member of AARP.

Survived By: Three Daughters - Betty (Howard) Fischer – Wis. Rapids, WI, Beverly (Fred) Reckman – Clinton, IA, Merna (Jack) Hindley – Omaha, NB; One Son - Lance (Dee) Reed – Tuscon, AZ; 27 Grandchildren; Many Great and Great Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Great Granddaughter.

Mrs Piek was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands – Louis Reed, Edward Christenson and John Piek; Sons Dale and William Reed; an infant daughter – Ivadel Reed, and four brothers and five sisters.

Friends may call at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
