SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Lott officiating.
CLINTON — Hiram G. “Jack” Birdsley, 84, of Camanche, died Wednesday at the Bluff Terrace Nursing Facility, Clinton.
Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jessica Birdsley, Tanya Allen, Walter Peikert, Matthew Birdsley, Michelle Birkett, Robert Weber III, Christina Rohde, Robbie Grage, Kim Wagner, and Jason Maresca..
He was born April 12, 1922, in Clinton to Chester Arthur and Mary Juber Birdsley. He married Gertrude Simpson on March 18, 1954, in Clinton.
He attended Clinton country schools.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.
He was employed with Clinton Corn for 34 years working in the trucking department and feed house.
Survivors include three sons, Daniel (LeAnn) Birdsley of Clinton, David (Cathy) Birdsley of Camanche and Robert (Geraldine) Weber Jr. of Camanche; one stepson, Donald Rohde of Camanche; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Chester Arthur (Clairebelle) Birdsley of Clinton; and one stepsister, Ruth Wellendorf of Schleswig.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Camanche Meal site.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one sister, one half sister, three half brothers and one grandchild.
