Visitation: Was Sunday at the Memorial Funeral Home, Sioux Center.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. today in the chapel of First Reformed Church, Sioux Center, with the Rev. Roger Voskuil officiating.

SIOUX CENTER — Eunice M. Norman, 85, of Sioux Center died Thursday at Royale Meadows Care Center, Sioux Center.

Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center.

She was born Aug. 7, 1921, in Fulton, Ill., to John and Dena Sikkema De Weerdt. She was raised in Fulton. She married Elvin Norman on May 24, 1940, in Fulton.

She graduated from Fulton High School.

She worked at Jane Lamb Hospital as a medical records librarian and later with Medical Associates as a receptionist. She retired in the early 1980s.

She was an active member of Second Reformed Church, Fulton. She taught Sunday school and was involved in Christian Endeavor, Willing Workers and the Ladies Mission Circle. She also was a member of First Reformed Church, Sioux Center.

After retiring, she and her husband moved to Sioux Center.

Survivors include her husband, of the Sheldon Care Center; two daughters, Linda (Dick) Lineweaver of Arnolds Park and Diane (Vern) Den Herder of Sioux Center; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Marvin (Grace) De Weerdt of Sun City, Ariz., Russell (Beverly) De Weerdt of Fulton, Robert (Carol) De Weerdt of Mesa, Ariz., Leon (Elsie) De Weerdt of Mesa, Gene (Diane) De Weerdt of Gilbert, Ariz., Larry (Vera) De Weerdt of Mesa, Jim (Mary) De Weerdt of Cedar Rapids; five sisters, Betty (Ed) Merema, Beverly (Harold) Bonneur, Arlene (Robert) Dykema and Irma Swanson, all of Fulton and Judy Dykstra of Waupun, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Wilma De Weerdt of Fulton and Margaret (John) Van Der Lught of Tucson, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.

The family prefers that memorials be made to First Reformed Church’s music fund.
