Bernice K. Sikkema

FULTON, Ill. — Bernice K. Sikkema, 81, of Fulton, died Thursday at Mercy North Hospital.

Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery.

She was born June 4, 1925, in Fulton to John and Margaret Balk Klimstra. She married Allen Sikkema on Sept. 17, 1943, in Fulton. He died in 2005.

She attended Fulton grade schools and graduated from Fulton High School.

She was employed with A.C. Nielsen Coupon Clearing House, Clinton. She was then employed as a cook at the Brick House Restaurant, Morrison, Ill.; and most recently pro shop manager at the Fulton Country Club.

She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, Fulton. She was past president of the Fulton Country Club Ladies Golf Association.

Survivors include three daughters, Sherry (Rick) Beckhart of Bonita, Calif., Barbara (James) McClimon of Runnels and Nancy (Dave) Hanson of Dubuque; one son, Gregg (Krista) Sikkema of Fulton; and eight grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Earl McBride Mission Fund.
