SERVICES: 11 a.m. Aug. 19 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna.

SAVANNA, Ill. — Carol Sue Miller, 41, of Savanna, died Thursday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Savanna.

She was born Aug. 8, 1965, in Clinton, to William and Rita Nowak Gilman. She married Rick Miller on May 3, 1988, in Las Vegas.

She graduated from Savanna High School in 1983. She attended Mount St. Clare College, Clinton.

She coached summer league softball.

Survivors include her husband; parents; two daughters, Cassandra “Cassie” Marie Miller and Jennesa Jo Miller, both of Savanna; one brother, William (Cathy) Gilman Jr. of Lanark, Ill.; and three sisters, Linda (Steve) Schneider of Mount Carroll, Ill., Janet (David) Bodell of Tucson, Ariz., and Judith Ann Crist of Dubuque.

Memorials may be made to the volleyball program at West Carroll High School, Savanna.
