Charlotte, July 17- One of the community's pioneer business men, Charles J. Paulson, 76, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. A.H. Dahlstrom. Heart trouble caused his death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Lutheran church. The Rev. A.H.Deletzke will officiate. Burial will be in the Rossiter Cemetery.
A tinsmith by trade, the deceased followed this business for 20 years. In 1898, he became an employee of the store owned by K.T. Goldman. The store was rebuilt some years later and Mr. Paulson purchased it, continuing in the hardware business.
He was born Nov. 9, 1858, in Langenhorn, Germany, and came to the United States in 1871, residing on a farm south of Charlotte. He was married to Maggie Christensen in 1887 and she succumbed in 1891. Later he was wed to Anna Klippeen, who died in 1928.
Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Dahlstrom and a sister, Mrs. Mary Stenzen of Charlotte.1935
