The Clinton Herald Friday April 26, 1974 p. 8 J. Marvin Kennedy, 67, 3219 N. 3rd St., died this morning in Jane Lamb Hospital after a long illness. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Irenaeus Church with Rev. William O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will begin 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Pape Funeral Home, where the parish Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Pallbearers will be nephews. Born Dec. 10, 1906, in Clinton, he was the son of Patrick and Christine Kyster Kennedy. He married Margaret Holdgrafer Jan. 21, 1933, in Clinton. He retired in 1969 from Clinton Corn Processing Co. where he was a boilermaker and had been employed 38 years. He was a member of the firm's 25-year club and St. Irenaeus Church. Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Shananhan, Dayton, Ohio, and Carol Waller, Clinton; four sons, James, Cedar Rapids, Duane, League City, Texas, and Edward and William, both of Clinton; 13 grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Marie Judd, Mrs. Bernice Mason, and Mrs. Darline Brandenberg, all of Clinton. He was preceded in death by one sister.
